Twin Oaks Convalescent Center

Long Term Care at its Finest

Twin Oaks Convalescent Center is an 88 bed skilled nursing facility fully licensed by the State of Georgia. Our facility became a part of Bacon County Hospital and Health System in December of 1990. In 1992 the nursing home was physically attached to the hospital. This attachment allows our facility to have quick and easy access to the hospital's emergency department should the need arise and expedites the process for direct admissions as an inpatient if a hospital admission is needed.

In 2013, construction began on a building/expansion program that modernized and upgraded Twin Oaks Convalescent Center. This included:

Twenty-eight new single occupancy rooms that are beautifully furnished and each have a private bathroom.

The rehabilitation program for short-term residents was furnished with new furnishings and new state-of-the-art equipment.

A Furnished chapel that it is large enough for church services, programs, and group meetings.

A spacious dedicated room for families to be with their loved ones during the end of life process.

New nursing stations for efficient support to residents and visitors.

Renovation/new construction to the remainder of the building that was untouched during the previous renovation/construction project is now in the planning stage. This project will create more private rooms, additional nurse's stations, increased rehabilitation space, and many more enhancements.

Our organization is a Not for Profit facility that puts quality first in regards to the care we provide. In 2021, during our Annual State Survey, Twin Oaks received a deficiency free inspection, also during 2021, our organization received the Bronze Award that is based on the Baldrige Criteria. We offer in house Rehabilitation Therapy that includes, Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy which provides services for short term and long term stays. We have in-house beautician services by a licensed beautician at no cost to the resident, in house dental and podiatry services, and a very robust Activity program to meet the social needs of the residents.
